Linea Viva

Four objects of bent metal tubes and hand - melted glass descend from the ceiling, intertwining into an abstract yet sensuous network of lines – growing, vibrating, alive. The transitions metal – glass – metal create a sense of pulsation, while the light hidden within the glass reinforces the impression of inner energy delicately linking architecture and nature.

About the author

Stela Vasileva (b. 1983) lives and works in Sofia. She has a degree in Mural Painting from the National Academy of Arts. She has presented solo exhibitions at Vaska Emanuilova Gallery, The Palace Cultural Center (Balchik), Waidspeicher Gallery at the Krönbacken Arts Centre, among others. Her works have been shown at the Sofia City Art Gallery, Sofia Arsenal – Museum of Contemporary Art, Goethe - Institut Sofia, as well as Bäckerstrasse4 (Vienna) and Roodkapje (Rotterdam). She is a laureate of the Gaudenz B. Ruf Award (2010) and of the St. Cyril and St. Methodius Foundation Prize.
