Spectral Sea

The installation combines science, technology and art, immersing viewers in winemaking's microbiological processes and natural cycles. Joteva collects data from the vineyards and fermentation vessels using cameras, sensors, and 3D scans, transforming this information into an immersive digital landscape that connects the microscopic with the cosmic. The work is an audio-visual visual meditation on the life cycle of the fruit and the yeast cells that transform it: from fermentation's youthful energy, through disintegration, to the quiet moments of refinement and aging. Evolving in two seasonal chapters, the installation reveals the spectral field of energy encompassing all life.

“My work questions the relationship between physical and virtual experience, revealing invisible forces, vibrations, and patterns that exist beyond human perception. In the research process preceding each project, I collaborate directly with scientists and engineers in the fields of medical imaging, neurophysics, and artificial intelligence, and I use alternative imaging tools such as MRI, LIDAR, EEG, satellite data, and environmental and biofeedback sensors.”
