Varieties: 68% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, 8% Early Melnik Vine
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the villages of Harsovo and Kromidovo, Melnik region, with heavy, reddish-brown soils that are rich in iron. Some of the Cabernet Franc vineyards are over 40 years old, while others are younger. The Early Melnik vine is a hybrid between the wide Melnik vine and Valdigie, a variety unique to the Sandanski region. The climate is characterized by high daytime temperatures and cool air currents in the evening, descending from the surrounding mountains. Biodynamic practices are used in the vineyards.
Wine: Hand harvested for each variety separately, at different times. Fermentation in separate tanks with post-fermentation maceration for 3-4 days. Blending follows. Limited production of 7,391 bottles.
