AYA Estate Vineyards
Is a gourmand's 1-stop-shop, full of experience: The estate includes winery, art gallery and boutique hotel near the village of Harsovo, Melnik region
Harmoniously incorporated into the surrounding environment, the estate is an exploration of sustainability and of exciting art-oriented architecture.
To visit AYA Estate Vineyards in the hills of the Melnik region is experience comfort and serenity while exploring unique “gourmantic” experiences.
To visit us is to immerse yourself into the world of wine
The winery is located on a very specific terrain: atop a hill with the slope is facing towards the best view.
The premium accommodation is a few minutes away from the winery but is separate from it in order to provide maximum comfort for our guests while giving just enough space for experimentation for our winemakers. The rooms come with a breath-taking 180-degree panoramic view of the vineyards and the entire Melnik area. A stone-throw away are Rupite and the Slavyanka (Alibotush), Sengelska and Belasitsa mountains.
We think of the estate as a wine gallery - or the place where oenology meets art. After all, wine production is an art in itself: the uniqueness of each crop reflects the style of its maker much like each brush stroke on a painting reflects the style of its painter.
So why not visit probably the only gallery in the world where you can not only touch the art, but drink it or even wake up surrounded by it?
The Melnik region
The small picturesque village of Harsovo is located in the heart of one of the most renowned wine regions in Bulgaria - the Struma River Valley, at the foot of the Pirin mountain.
Its winemaking tradition goes back to 3500BC and the Thracians. Home of more than 10 high-class estates and wineries.
Famous for its indigenous grape variety Shiroka Melnishka Loza (Broadleaved Melnik Vine), a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), which produces an aromac and tannic but elegant wine with long ageing potential.
